What’s Up Doc? Twitter Becoming Go-To Tool For Medical Recruiting

on Tuesday, Nov. 5th

VentureBeat’s John Koetsier has an interview with Gozaik cofounder Joe Budzienski that has some surprising details on Twitter’s rise as a professional recruitment tool:

“They are recruiting surgeons on Twitter and top-notch oncologists — many roles you don’t even see on LinkedIn,” he told me. “There are a lot of professionals on Twitter who blog and tweet about the medical field, so therefore you get lots of announcements coming out in the hopes that these individuals will see them.”

Budzienski and company are building a platform that links in… uh, I mean connects into Twitter to facilitate recruitment. While Budzienski clearly has a stake in the outcome, he believes that Twitter will wind up challenging LinkedIn as king of the recruitment hill.

Twitter’s IPO is expected to launch on Thursday.
