Web Series + Indie Games + Kickstarter= Indie Van Game Jam

on Tuesday, Oct. 8th

When Binary Solo co-founder Zeb West, who acted as my Austin indie game sherpa this spring, told me that he was planning to create a roving game jam in a van I sat up and listened.

The project, Indie Van Game Jam, hit Kickstarter this week. West and co-founder Chad Stewart are pledging to answer eight big questions about game design, one in each episode of their proposed web series, both through interviews with established developers and by putting what they learn to the test themselves.

That means that each episode of Indie Van Game Jam will come complete with a downloadable game which the guys will put together in the course of the episode.

So for those of you who are playing along at home, that makes this a crowdfunded transmedia indie game web series.

Way to game Turnstyle, guys.
