Like something straight out of dystopian 60's sci-fi, or a contemporary Dave Eggers' novel, Facebook is looking to build its own "village" right in the heart of Silicon Valley. From the Wall Street Journal:

The social network said this week it is working with a local developer to build a $120 million, 394-unit housing community within walking distance of its offices. Called Anton Menlo, the 630,000 square-foot rental property will include everything from a sports bar to a doggy day care.

No word on if Anton Menlo will get its own sentient giant beach ball security drones or if it will become the go-to name for indie bands.

I mean look at it: Anton Menlo. Can't you hear the toy instruments already?

Be seeing you!
