Music Video of the Week: Wale – “Back 2 Ballin'” feat. French Montana

on Thursday, Jul. 11th

“Back 2 Ballin” features Wale and French Montana as players in an 16-bit environment, allowing them to serve it up in scenarios from arcade classics such as Altered Beast, Out Run, Streets of Rage and NBA Jam, just to name a few.

The video is a collaboration between Wale, Powerhouse Animation Studios and Funny Or Die’s creative production company Gifted Youth. Skullcandy, Wale’s sponor for the “Back 2 Ballin'” video, posted the video on their website and had this to say about the process between the animators and rap stars:

“The collaborative process between Powerhouse and Gifted Youth went as smoothly as possible with one exception – the animators could never quite grasp the definition of “mosquito bites.” There were definitely more than a few emails exchanged letting Powerhouse know that the boobs were STILL too big.”
