Last week's episode of The CrowdCrowd featured panelist Jason Cooper, co-director of the crowdfunding documentary Kickstarted. At the end of the episode Jason mentioned that the crowdfunding campaign for the film would be going live on Tuesday, and guess what?

It's Tuesday.

Jason and his partner Jay Armitage are seeking $85,000 to finish the film.

Interviews with crowdfunding success stories Amanda Palmer, Chris Roberts (Star Citizen), Maxwell Salzberg (Diaspora) and many others are featured in the trailer, and the team plots on releasing many of these before the film is finished if they hit their goal.

I had the chance to sit down with Cooper last week, and can say unequivocally that this guy understands crowdfunding like few others. He's got a an encyclopedic knowledge of the subject thanks to the work they've been doing on this documentary for the better part of a year. This project feels like it will be a comprehensive look at the emergence of crowdfunding.
