VidCon Invades Anaheim

It has already begun!

The third annual VidCon, where internet celebrities and their fans mingle and you can bet that every minute of interaction is being documented by somebody, started today at the Anaheim Convention Center. Last year it was at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel in LA. This year it’s in a Convention Center. Which means this shard of pop culture is growing at an exponential rate.

Sadly, I was unable to find any sneezing pandas booked onto any of the panels. In all seriousness: major players from Maker Studios, filmmakers, hosts, musicians… it’s like an alternate universe version of the Paley Center’s TV events. Only all at once.

The con is on through Saturday the 30th, so get down there and don’t forget one of the nine video capable devices you own.
