The much anticipated Hurricane Irene blew through the East Coast over the weekend, killing at least 38 people, according to MSNBC. The storm caused 5 million power outages between North Carolina and Maine, according to the Washington Post.
North Carolina was hit hard, and as of yesterday, people were still trapped by flood waters, according to the International Business Times.
