Lil Wayne’s Secret Weapon: A 21-Year-Old Tech Guru

Nishat Kurwa on Monday, Aug. 29th

Rapper Lil Wayne’s ninth album comes out this week. It’s been delayed several times, but the rapper’s fan base has continued to grow, and much of the growth is thanks to his digital strategy. Mazy Kazerooni is the tech whiz behind the curtain.

Here’s his story.

Kazerooni is the founder of Tracksby, a viral music platform on Facebook for artists.

Below, some videos of his famous fans.

This story also aired on NPR’s All Things Considered.
