Skateboarders Storm The Streets, From Kabul To LA

Robyn Gee on Wednesday, Jun. 29th

You might have missed it, but June 21 was Go Skateboarding Day – an international holiday to celebrate the sport. According to Transworld Business, there were 600 events registered internationally.

In Los Angeles, skateboarders took to the streets to participate in Emerica’s Wild in the Streets, which partnered with Boards for Bros for the first time ever. Boards for Bros was able to give 250 refurbished boards to young people in East L.A. and people could donate their old boards to the organization throughout the event.

Check out these awesome video tributes to Go Skateboarding Day, found on 48Blocks.com.
