Host Noah Nelson takes us back into the universe of transmedia and shared story worlds in this interview with Scott Walker of Brain Candy LLC. In addition to being the co-creator of the community generated fantasy world Runes of Gallidon, he’s recently started the Shared Story Worlds website and begun cataloging fictional universes that allow for community participation.
Scott is also one of the co-founders of Los Angeles’ Transmedia Meetup group, which has been connecting creatives interested in transmedia storytelling with those who practice it on a huge scale for the past year and a half. We talk about Scott’s projects and what we saw at last week’s Transmedia Hollywood conference.
This is one I’m super passionate about, podcast people, and I encourage you to give it a close listen!

NOAH TANGENT ALERT!!
So we drilled down a bit into fandom and how the studios might be looking at transmedia as a way of building a bulwark against piracy… and I got a little ranty. So I cut it from the podcast, but I’m putting that ten minute tangent HERE for you to revel in. Nerd. [Oh, and just to make you listen: we talk about theme parks, piracy, and how Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is a genius at this stuff.]
