Mash-Up: Sheen Wars

I’m not one of those people who is finding the media meltdown of Charlie Sheen particularly amusing. There’s this human sacrifice vibe to the way we interact with our celebrities that South Park nailed perfectly in their “Britney’s New Look” episode  back in 2008.

That being said this mash-up of Charlie Sheen’s weirdest quotes and Darth Vader’s big scenes in the original Star Wars is nothing short of brilliant. Sheen’s words take on an aura of gonzo poetry, and it’s been so long since I’ve watched the original 1977 blockbuster that I’d forgotten just how beautiful the design and shot composition was.

This seamless mash-up comes from the blog Darth Bale, which got it’s start as- you guessed it- a mash-up of Christian Bale’s infamous NSFW rant and scenes from Star Wars. Everything, after all, is a remix.
