Photojournalist-turned-filmmaker Danfung Dennis built his own custom camera rig to capture amazing real-life images at the front lines of the war in Afghanistan as an embedded journalist. What he discovered is that the real story of war doesn’t end at the battlefront, but stays with soldiers long after they return home. His film “Hell and Back Again” tells one such story, and won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
