Talking About “The Green Wave” w/ Director Ali Samadi Ahadi

Kai Hsing on Tuesday, Feb. 1st

We talk to the director of “The Green Wave,” an Iranian-German documentary that takes us behind the scenes to meet the people who were a part of the Green Movement surrounding the 2009 presidential elections in Iran and the government crackdown that ensued.

In the summer of 2009, Iran experienced what’s known as “The Green Revolution” led by young people using the internet, blogs, Twitter and cell phones. In many aspects, it is similar to what’s going on right now in Egypt.

Visit our Vimeo page for bonus coverage on “The Green Wave.”
